Adding Competitions & Seasons

Go to SportsPress > Competitions to add your first competition. Give your competition a name and a slug, then click Add New to save it. Repeat for each competition. You can also select a Parent competition, which is useful for grouping into smaller competitions, leagues, divisions, etc.

Remember that a competition is defined as a group of teams, so whether your sport competes in leagues, divisions, counties, or any other term, these should all be considered competitions.

Go to SportsPress > Seasons to add your first season. Give your season a name and a slug, then click Add New to save it. Repeat for each season. You can also select a Parent season, which is useful for grouping into more specific seasons.

Since a season is defined as a period of time, any time period should be considered a season. You could create a season for each game day, week, or month, depending on how your competitions are structured.
